経済効果は如何ほどに？
先日、黒田慶樹さんと清子さんの結婚式が東京の帝国ホテルで行われました。
結婚式がどれほど盛大且つ厳粛に行われたものだったかはご興味のある方々は
新聞やテレビでいろいろな観点からの情報が飛び交っていましたのでご存知だと
思います。私もワイドショーを見れる訳ではないので、今更ブログに書くような
内容は持ち合わせて無いのが正直なところです(笑)。
本日は一般市民の観点から…。

結婚式があった当日、会場に為っていた帝国ホテル付近は異様な盛り上がりを
示していました。
ホテルにしては珍しく厳重警戒態勢が敷かれていて、朝から付近の道路には
路上駐車が出来ないように警察が配備されていて近付く車両は取調べを受けて
いるようでした。
私も不謹慎にもホテルを通ろうとしてのですが、いつもならば簡単に素通り
できる通路も入り口で厳重チェックが入りました。実際には通ることも
出来なかったのですが、ホテルの従業員の方々が入り口で来館理由を聞いたり、
どうしても入る方々は荷物検査等といろいろと制約があるようでした。私は
興味半分で入ろうとしただけなので、大した説明する内容も無くすんなりと
アウトにされました(笑)。
殆ど一日中、こんな感じで付近はお祭り騒ぎだったようです。新居付近では
今後も少しはお祭り騒ぎが続きそうですね。
さて…これらの内容とはチョット変わってしまうのですが、今回の結婚式で
会社の同僚と話していた際にこんな話が上がりました。
F： 「帝国ホテル行ってみた？警察が厳重に張り込んでいるらしいね。」
S： 「朝、ここ来るときに通ってこようと思ってたが、
入館拒否されてしまったよ。」
F： 「アハハ…こんな日に入れる訳無いじゃん。」
「何か今回の結婚式での経済効果は凄かったらしいね。帝国ホテルなんかは
満室状態になってたって話を聴いたし、数千万円ぐらいの経済効果が
あったと噂されていたよ。」
S： 「ロイヤルウェディングだからみんなの注目の的だしね…。」
そんな事を話しているうちに…ふと思い起こすことがありました。
実は、2週間ほど前に帝国ホテルでは異変があったのです。とは言っても普段
通っているから気付く違いでしかないのですが…正面玄関からみえる階段の
作りと主要個所のカーペットが全て入れ替わっていたのです。
黒田慶樹さんと清子さんの結婚式が東京の帝国ホテルで行われるとは
知らなかった私は…
“あれ、帝国ホテルも儲かってるな(笑)”程度にしか考えていなかったのですが、
今考えると結婚式に向けての模様替えが主目的だったのではないかな〜と。
模様替えの費用貰っていたのかな？
こんな事で判った振りをして喜んでいるのは何とも情けないのですが、
まあ良いじゃないですか。
もし、帝国ホテルへ訪れる機会がありましたら…正面玄関のカーペット
(栗色でふかふか)と裏玄関のカーペット(ワイン色)が違うのを見てきて
ください。一緒に判った振りをしてニンマリしましょう(笑)。

結婚式良かったですね。
落ち着いた雰囲気で、慎ましやかで、家族の絆を感じましたね。
先日私の娘が結婚式を挙げたばかりなので余計にそう感じましたし、
色々結婚式にご招待されて行くのですが。
こんなに家族の絆を感じたことはないです。
今、核家族の時代だからこそ見習うべきところが多々有りましたね。
親は子を愛し、子は親を敬い、こんな時代になってもらいたいです。
